Someone was asking at work what I've been posting about recently, and I told her I hadn't been on here since before Christmas. She said that didn't sound like me, so I figured I better get back to posting!
We have a little nook off of the great room into the master bedroom. The plan was to move our fish tank from the bedroom to here, but I wanted to paint the dresser intended to hold it. Our fish tank wasn't looking so pretty anymore, and we were lucky enough to be offered a free fish tank from Brady's preschool teacher. This meant I had to kick it into high gear and get the dresser ready.

To prep it, I took all of the knobs off of it, sanded it, and wiped it down with a damp cloth. I used the same black from our tv stand.
I wanted clear knobs for the finished dresser, so I kept an eye out for a sale. Lowe's had them marked down to $2.97 each, which was about the lowest price I could find online without including shipping. Once I put them on, I noticed two had cracks in them. The sale was already over when I went to return them, so I made sure I was going to be able to get the sale price after I found two new ones. They only had two in the little drawers where they keep them, and one of those was cracked. I asked for help, and my patience paid off. They didn't have any more in stock, so I asked if I could have the display knob. She said for my trouble I could have the display knob for free. That made my day! (I know it's only $3, but it's still money!!)
